Rotary met with representatives from Penn Hills 224 to donate an AED (automated external defibrillator) that we purchased with the proceeds from our last fundraiser. The device will be housed at their Universal Banquet Hall, used frequently for community gatherings and parties. This investment will help protect all who use this facility.

AEDs are sophisticated yet easy-to-use medical devices that can help save those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. As the leading cause of death in the United States, more than 350,000 people will suffer sudden cardiac arrest this year, and an AED is currently the only way to restore regular heart rhythm. Penn Hills Rotary is proud to assist our friends at Penn Hills #4 with such an important purchase.
